    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/BVJ.2ACIB/1285 Message Board Post: Seeking information regarding Hiram Coker, born about 1829; married Elizabeth Whitten 17 December 1829 Walton Co., GA. They were in 1830 Walton Co., GA census; 1840 Muscogee Co., GA census [where his oldest son, Valentine Martin (or Marlin) had been born in 1832]; 1850 Muscogee Co., census; 1860 Chatthoochee Co., GA census (where the name was spelled "Koker"). The children of Hiram and Elizabeth, as listed in the 1850 Muscogee Co. census were: Valentine Martin Coker, b. 18 Aug 1832 Muscogee Co. William Coker, b. abt 1834 Seaborn Coker, b. abt 1836 Duncan E. Coker, b. abt 1836 Mary L. (Missouri) Coker , b. abt 1842 Martha Coker, b. abt 1844 Ludoskie (female), b. abt 1846 (The census taker failed to record the birth place of anyone in this family in that census!) Being descended from that oldest son, I have been able to follow Valentine Martin/Marlin Coker through 1850, 1860, the War Between the States, and 1870, until his death in 1872. What I wish to learn is: Who were the parents of Hiram Coker? WHAT happened to the other sons of Hiram? The 3 daughters and 1 other son, Anderson Joseph, b. abt 1851, were with Hiram in the 1860 Chatthoochee Co. census, but not one of the other sons can be found after 1850. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Janice, Marietta, GA
