THANK YOU, Dwight Stipes Dwight: I have not yet had a DNA test, but right now, I am planning to have it done when I attend the National Congress of the Sons of the American Revolution in July in Louisville, KY. Some company is offering a discount during our Congress and it supposedly includes the country of your surname ancestor's birth about a 1,000 years ago. I haven't figured out how they would do that just yet, but if you are interested, I can give you more details and an update at the end of July. Bob Coker

Their father was Johnathan/Jonathan Clark Coker. If you need any information on this line, contact me. Or - if you already have good information, perhaps you can help me. I'm looking for solid documentation (for the DAR) that connects Marion Jackson Coker to his parents, Johnathan/Jonathan Clark Coker and Frances Mayes Pentecost. Frances' father was William Pentecost, a veteran of the American Revolution. Even if you don't have this, it was good to see your posting. I had little information on James Jasper and Viola after they left Louisiana for Texas.
