    2. Hello- I am trying to make sense/timeline re data which I have found in Franklin Co. Tax lists and/or that has been posted to this forum: 1818 Capt. Reagdon Brown Dist: Calvin Coker defaults on polltax (no property) 1819 Capt. Reagdon Brown Dist: Calvin Coker poll tax paid by Edward Swan ( I have been unable to find any relationship between these two; still no property) 1820 Capt. Peter Brown Dist: Calvin Coker poll and property tax on 150 acres land on Lightwood Log for John Mitchell non-resident 1821: Calvin Coker draws in land lottery 1821 Capt. Peter Brown Dist: Coleman Coker pays property tax on 270 acres land on Lightwood Log (in what would be Franklin Co. GMD 214, now in Hart Co.) adjacent Shayers (I CANNOT FIND ANY DEED OR TRANSACTION BY WHICH CALVIN ACQUIRED THIS PROPERTY IN FRANKLIN) 1822 Capt. Carter's Dist: Calvin Coker pays tax on 170 acres land on Lightwood Log adjacent Shayers (I believe this is actually same land as for Coleman above; are they same person with misspelling or related to each other?) 1822: Calvin and Elizabeth Coker of Franklin Co. to George Eavenson-sale of lot in Houston GA (lottery land Calvin drew in 1821?); Eavenson is in Elbert Co. 1823 Capt. Carter's Dist: Calvin Coker pays taxes on 270 acres land on Lightwood Log adj. Walters and for John Mitchell, non-resident 150 acres on Lightwood Log adj. McClain 1825 Capt. Walters Dist: Charlton Coker pays taxes on 270 acres land on Lightwood Log adj. Walters; Colvin (yes Colvin-not Calvin) Coker pays polltax and property tax for non-resident John Mitchell on 150 acres as above; NO MENTION OF CALVIN/COLVIN/COLEMAN COKER AFTER THIS DATE. 1826 Capt. Walters Dist. Charlton Coker pays taxes on 270 acres land on Lightwood Log adj. Walters 1827 Capt. Payne's Dist. Charlton Coker pays taxes on 270 acres land on Lightwood Log adj. Walters After 1827, Charlton only pays polltax or defaults on polltax until about 1834-implying that someone else took over land-I can find no transaction. It would appear that there may be a relationship between Calvin/Colvin/Coleman Coker and Charlton. Has anyone come across deeds or other that would explain how they acquired and/or lost this land on Lightwood Log? Thank you. Cynthia

Calvin married Melvinia or Martha Melvinia Rippe or Rippetoe. All I know is she was called Melvinia Rippe. They may have been married in Hunt Co. Calvin had several brothers but I don't know their names.
