McClure was born in La Veta on June 18, 1919. I know his father was Felix Edward McClure and that his grandfather was Oscar McClure, who married Susan Chastain. I'm fairly sure they were part of the McClures who came from Georgia in the 1860's. I'm hoping to discover more, such as where Felix and Oscar were born, the rest of the family ties, etc. I also would like to purchase the property where my father was born in La Veta.
