Hi Joyce, I sent you an email off the List but it bounced back to me so hopefully you will get this one. Karen ----- Original Message ----- From: "Karen Mitchell" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Hello Joyce, I am the Huerfano County Coordinator. The Gardner Protestant Cemetery was slated to be filmed this summer but unfortunately I broke my foot so I couldn't get it done. Hopefully I will be able to get to it now in the fall. Once the photos are taken I will then post them to our web site where you can download the ones of your family stones. You may also want to order their obits. You can do this by contacting the Spanish Peaks Library where they have the old papers on microfilm. The address is on our web site and their email address is: [email protected] I think they charge a dollar plus postage, but ask them about that first. I do obituary lookups but I have to charge $10.00 each for them because Walsenburg is 1/2 hour from me. Plus right now I am pretty well swamped. So only use me as a last resort. But if need be, I WILL get them for you. I just think they will serve you quicker. It seems to me that several years ago someone was researching the Mockmore name but I sure can't remember who it was, nor do I have it in my records. Of the Gribble name you will want to contact Louise Adams at: [email protected] She has done extensive research on the Gribble family and is a wonderful, warm lady. Please also note there is a couple of the Gribble family in the Brookside Cemetery that Louise is not related to but may be your family. Those photos are online. Please feel free to contribute a scanned photo of Wilhemina to our photos page, so many people have posted photos and have been contacted by long lost relatives. As for the death certificates, they usually list the informants name and the parents of the deceased and the descendants marital status. The information is only as good as the informant. To find addresses for vital records for any of the United States try this: http://www.vitalrec.com/ I do hope this has been some help to you. By the way, do you know that our Las Animas County Coordinator lives in Australia also? His name is Leon Moya, but right now I'm not sure which city he lives in. And I'm curious, if your family was in Colorado, how did you get all the way to Australia? Please do let me know if I can assist you any further. Karen Mitchell
