Hi Louise and all, In 1860 the area that is now Huerfano County would have been situated in Mora, County, NM. But your g-grandfather voted in the 1861 election at the "Pueblo on the Arkansas", which was what is now Pueblo, Colorado. I believe that would have been enumerated in the Kansas census . I can't recall right now the name of the County, but if you go to the Kansas GenWeb site they probably have an 1860 map. It will be the County in the lower left hand corner. Explore this and please let the rest of the researchers know. I'm glad you found a new clue for your ancestors! Karen
