Does anyone have the obit for Etola Griffith who lived in LaVeta? She was married first to a Melvin Lyle Smith. She died in January of 2002, this year. She was an aunt of ours. Her second husband was Theadore I. Griffith. I believe she was born about 1910? I would appreciate knowing what was in the obit. Thanks Barb

Huerfano World, 1-31-2002, page 2 ETOLA L. GRIFFITH Etola Lelia Smith Griffith, 91, of La Veta, died Friday Jan. 25, 2002. Mrs Griffith was born on Aug. 11, 1910 in La Veta to Ferdinand Fred and Henna Louise Henerburg Falk. She was a member of the United Mehodist Church of La Veta, and is survived by a daughter, Harriet Louise (Jack) Coleman, Washington; 12 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceeded in death by her first husband, Melvin Lyle Smith, in 1972; her second husband, Theodore Isac Griffith, in 1984; a son, Walter Lyle "Sonny" Smith; four sisters and five brothers. Funeral service was held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at United Methodist Church of La Veta with Rev. Tom Janoski officiating. Interment, La Veta cemetery. Enjoy!
