I saw a mention of Smith family group sheets missing. I never sent any in but am interested in Smith's of LaVeta. We are of the Silas Lemuel Smith (born June 28, 1879 in Hayesville, N.C.) family. Silas and his wife Leomia Eliz (Brown) brought two young sons to LaVeta and raised many more children. When his wife died, he married Hannah on Nov. 5, 1914. They had children of their own. First set of children: Herchal Otis, Thomas Wayne, Joseph Ray, Evelyn Ruth, Melvin Lyle, Geneva Mae. The next set of children were: Elvin George, Emmett Lee, Anna Marie, William Glenn. Hannah has a child of her own before this marriage named Edna Lois (Pittman). It was my understanding that all the children moved away from LaVeta area after they became adults. Looking for any one who is a member of this family or who has any history of this family. They came to LaVeta, Co. after 1902 and were there by 1904. They were connected to Kitchens and Goemmer families. The Kitchens came from Clay Co., North Carolina as well. Barb
