    3. Yep, there they are--great grandfather Steve, and his brother Mike! Now, further guessing if we are, who we think we are; we had a land patent that said "Stip Dusnak"--we've thought all these years that the person taking the information didn't understand the "accent" and misrecorded "Steve Duzenack"; however--our fearless leader (Karen!) tells me that in Austrian-German "Stip" would be pronounced "Steef", therefore, probably Americanized to "Steve". And when the surname appeared spelled in newspapers etc. as "Dusnak", the whole family would wonder why it was spelled wrong! So.... given that we now have 2 land patents and the naturalization spelled in the first fashion-that is probably correct, don't you think? But my mom says "Why in the world did they LENGTHEN the spelling!". I was so in hopes that great grandfather Brgoch (Brgoc) was there--oh well--keep on digging! Thanks Karen! Janet
