I wish I could find more history and background about this histortical old ranch and area. I was so pleased to stumble accross your CoGenWeb historical information.. What do I do to join... maybe participate and receive information..???. Charles Hill ( of Major Family) POB 501305 San Diego, Calif 92150 phon: 858 538 4904 email=== [email protected] Charles: The Major Ranch was sold to a development company several years ago and divided into acreages. They sold out in a couple of years, people loved the land so, and the company offered in house financing with minimum down. The old ranch house is still there and is occupied. The Alamo mine site has a home built around it, they left the old ruins and tried to match their home to them. There is a Major RAnch Association. They put in roads and power. I don't know the history, someone else might help you with that. It was owned by John Homerdink when he sold out to Red Creek Ranch Development Company in 1995. Wynnelle
