I believe it was taken in the 1940's. The hotel rooms were on the 2nd floor of the building, the entryway was on the steet level in the middle of the building. A staircase led up to the rooms. On the street level were the businesses. The U-B Grocery was on the left side, and the Major Coal Company office was on the right side (later, the Walsenburg Music Company was located in this part of the building). The Bellotti and Ugolini families owned and operated the businesses in this building from the 1930's to the 1980's, and the building was burned down by arsonists in 1997.
