Ellis Island shows the family going to, what appears to be the "Alpine" mine. Haven't found any info on a mine by that name. Any assistance greatly appreciated. Although my father was just a young man, he became quite active in the UMWA, and was not the most popular person in the area with the mine owners, and I believe mu uncle Peter Bosone was active in union work as well at this early time in CO. I don't know when they left CO to go to work in the Roslyn/CleElum WA coal camps, but they were in WA on the 1910 Census. My father moved on to Bearcreek, MT from CO and WA. > My father, Joseph Bosone was in Walsenburg as a UMWA organizer (I believe it was 1914) > Joseph R. Bosone >
