Before we know it the little ones will be back in school and the fall season will be here. It rained all day yesterday and it's to wet to play in the yard so I've been trying to get some of my projects caught up. I got quite a bit behind while we were on stand-by evacuation for the Mason fire. So if anyone has written to me and I haven't responded, please do contact me again. I have some new pages for you: http://www.kmitch.com/Huerfano/conejosdeaths.html These are the Conejos death records that I told you I would post. They are from 1860 - 1897. http://www.kmitch.com/Huerfano/baps1.html St Mary's Baptisms, Walsenburg, CO - 204 Avila, Cruz, Laforet and Galvan records were initially transcribed by Shalane Sheley-Cruz in 2000. In July 2005 Karen Mitchell added 941 more records. These records start in 1870, the first recorded baptisms in Huerfano County. PLEASE NOTE: This is a work in progress! Some of these records are not complete in this database but we do have the rest of the information. I wanted to at least post an index so that you could search for your ancestors. If you find an ancestor that does not have completed data, just write to me and I will gladly post the information. Karen Mitchell km1109@aculink.net http://www.kmitch.com/Huerfano/bapsadd.html These are additional baptisms that were extracted from the St. Mary's marriage records. These are from all over the world and may well give you an idea of where your ancestor was from if they are listed. It's interesting to see the different States and Countries listed here. Let me know what you think of the new pages! Enjoy! Karen
