    3. Good morning Virginia, I think I have it figured out, but if anyone has suggestions, please jump in here. I have WinXP so this is how I did it: First I went to my Windows Explorer and clicked on My Computer, then on Local drive, which is the C drive. Then I went to file at the top and clicked on New which gave me a new folder that I named PAF photos. So the path is C:\PAF photos You can name your photos whatever you want so I used numbers starting with 00001. This will give me 5 digits to work with and I hope I never have that many! This numbering system will allow me to have 99,999 photos. Put all the photos in your folder called PAF photos. You need to keep a list of the name of the photo and what it is. Mine will look like this: 00001 John Doe 1946 00002 Mary Doe headstone etc. Now go into your PAF program. Go to an individual window of a person that you have a photo for by double clicking on that persons name. Then click on the camera icon on the right. A new window will pop up, click on Add. You have to put in the path for that individual's photo such as: C:\PAF photos\00001 Then you can and a description of the photos and a caption if you like. For a headstone photo, in the description box I put Headstone, then in the caption I put the inscription on the stone. I know this sounds really complicated but once you do it, you will find it's a snap to add photos. As usual, the explanation sounds harder than the actual "doing". If you run into any problems let me know. Good luck with your project. I have always kept my photos in a different location completely, but I would like to change that to link to PAF. Thank you! Karen ______________________________

    3. "Then you can and a description of the photos and a caption if you like." should read: Then you can ADD a description of the photos and a caption if you like. Sorry. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Karen Mitchell" <km1109@aculink.net> To: <COHUERFA-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, October 21, 2005 8:13 AM Subject: [COHUERFA] Re: PAF Good morning Virginia, I think I have it figured out, but if anyone has suggestions, please jump in here.
