We got 2' here at my place in the foothills of the Greenhorn mountain. We were without power off and on all day and part of the night. But today it's beautiful and the sun is shining and all of the snow is starting to melt. Supposed to be 70 here Wednesday. Karen
I live in Elbert, which was in the bull's-eye of the blizzard. Elbert is about 30 miles northeast of Colorado Springs. We had almost 2 feet of snow. The snow stopped this morning, but the wind is still blowing the snow. The county hasn't plowed the dirt roads yet. My husband just left for work. He is a lineman for the rural electric company. Haven't heard if there were many problems with the lines. Last week we had a blizzard that knocked down 300 poles near Limon and caused lots of outages in the area. Hello Ben, If they were married in 1865 it would not be in Huerfano County as there was no priest there until early 1870. You might check with the N.M. areas you mentioned. Also, please be aware that when you type in all caps in an email, it is the equivalent of hollering (grin), and some people will not answer your emails because of it. Sorry I couldn't help you more but I wish you luck with your research. If there is anything else I can do to help just let me know. Hello Folks: Just a gentle reminder that all obituaries submitted before 5 p.m. today will be included in the April 1 update. Please don't miss this opportunity to honor your ancestor/relative, and to enhance the historical records for Huerfano, Las Animas, and Pueblo Counties. Obituaries are an ideal source of information for both the researcher of today, and those seeking family ties in the future. To make a submission, simply type the obituary into an email, including newspaper name and date of publication, and email to me at: LAdams2341@aol.com. Sincerely, Louise Adams Tri-County Obituary Coordinator

Hi Toni, Thank you for stopping in to say hello. For awhile there I thought I was out in cyberspace all by myself LOL. Have you written to Angela Lewis to ask for a marriage record? I think she has every book that's ever been published...well maybe not ALL of them, but quite a few (grin). Her address is gen4nm@nmia.com She is a terrific person and tries very hard for all of the researchers. I do hope Angela can help you. Good luck, Karen
