I just got word that the St Vincent de Paul film I ordered is in, so if anyone would like baptism look-ups from Grant County 1874-1911 for this church, please let me know and I'll do my best :) Kathy
I would like to know if someone can check a burial in St. Marys. Encarnacion Martinez, died 5-19-1928, buried 5-21-1928, St. Marys Death record. I would like to know if a spouse was listed? Parents? Any information at all? Thanks, Toni

Hi Karen, I needed to ask you a question. I sent out a quiry to ask if someone could check a death for me on St. Anthony Cemetary, Aguilar, CO. I found a listing for Paublita Abeyta on July 20 1904 and she is buried in section 7. I wanted to know if anyone could find out for me if she was the wife of Manuel Abeyta and if there was any information available on her. I sent a letter to St. Mary's Church Jan. 16, 2001, and again about 4 months ago and as yet have received no answer. I am having a hard time with information on Pablita (Paula) Cruz Abeyta. This is the only information I have ever found except for census info. Do you think there is ANYONE who can help me? Thanks, Toni
Hi everybody! I want to remind all of you about the following site: http://www.raogk.org/ Random Acts Of Genealogical Kindness is going nationwide and if any of you need data or cemetery photos from other parts of the US, this is a terrific place to go for help and assistance. More importantly, if you have received a kindness from someone, please try to pass it on through this site. The RAOGK has exceeded anyone's wildest dreams. We are now almost at 4,900 volunteers and still growing. Please visit the site and try to volunteer one day a month. Karen Mitchell 2002 has been declared "The Year of "Unity". Pass it on. What has happened to the weekly report? I have certainly missed it lately. Is Karen okay? Everyone must be really busy typing away...trying to get all this stuff online for us! A big thank you to everyone that is helping to put all of this information online and make this one of the GREAT lists. Keep up the good work. JanGet more from the Web. Hello List members! Last week on Monday I had a computer tech come out and work on my cpu, the power supply was going out on it, and they replaced the heat link too. Monday afternoon my little grand daughter arrived from Denver to spend a few days with me. Oh yes, she brought her Mommy too <lol>. They had to leave Thursday morning, wish they could have stayed longer. Of course I never get enough of them. Saturday I went to town and Sunday I just took some R&R. So here I am back at it again. I am still working on the Naturalizations. Sorry it's taking so long. I'm up to 1049 and still have 5 pages to go. Geez, seems like this is taking an awful long time. I want to say THANK YOU to Linda for typing part of Volume II for me, I sure appreciate it!!! I almost have all the cemetery photos posted now. The one in Colorado City is taking a long time because I am conferring with the Secretary. You wouldn't believe this wonderful lady! First she loaned me a map of the cemetery, then she loaned me the original book of entries. As with any record that passes through various hands, there are some errors but we are working on fixing those and she is so appreciative of me auditing the book. We are having fun working on it but it does take time. When it's done it will be one of the most complete listings we have, the other being La Veta. And speaking of cemeteries, I am getting so many nice emails from people that have seen them and complimented us on our work. So again, THANK YOU to all of my volunteers that have helped get these pages online. Well it's almost Spring in the Rockies so pretty soon I will be out in the yard and back in the field for more field work. If anyone can help with the field work I sure would appreciate some volunteers, especially because we still have a couple of the larger cemeteries to film. If you are coming to Colorado this summer for research, let me know if you can commit a few hours to helping get these done. If you can't spare the time, I understand, and would still like to meet any of you that are coming through. A highlight of my work is getting to meet the researchers I have been in contact with! I'm still glowing from last summer's Conference! PLEASE NOTE!! If any of you know of ancestors that are buried in any of the cemeteries, and I do not have them listed there, PLEASE let me know so that I can add them. Many of you may have in your personal papers where an ancestor is buried and yet they are not listed in our online listings. I had an email from a lady last week that helped me take some of the people out of our Unknown Burials Page and get them in the right cemetery. THANK YOU Karen! I have not had the time to re-work that page but will get to it ASAP. And a great big THANK YOU to Toni, who sent me the name brand of a gopher repellant! I ordered it but unfortunately it didn't come in before the pesky little varmints got another of my Evergreen trees. Looks like the battle will continue this year <grin>. I really hope that all of you are still hard at work proofing that census for Taylor, it will be so wonderful to see that finally online. Taylor has worked so very hard on this project, please assist her if you can! I know she is past the halfway mark so it's going to be done before to much longer. I want to apologize to everyone that volunteered for the obituary project. Quite frankly, I dropped the ball and I apologize to all of you for doing so. I haven't got back to trying to scan them in and there's been so many projects going on at one time that it's hard for me to keep up with all of them. I am sorry. The various projects are starting to wind down and I have been able to complete quite a few of them just recently so hopefully we can get back to those in the near future. If you haven't taken a look at our pages recently, you might want to do that, there's been quite a few additions. Please notice on the Family Group Sheets pages that not all of the FGS have been turned in on the form that I have posted. At first I wanted to keep everything uniform, but then I had a few complaints that some people would like to just cut and paste their descendancy charts. I thought...why not? If that's what my researchers want, that's okay with me. So if you haven't turned yours in, please feel free to do so, I'll get them posted. I notice the List has been extra quiet here lately and hope everyone is well and just getting on with life and research. Let me hear from you, and let me know if you want to see anything special added to our pages. That's it for today so have a GREAT day and enjoy whatever it is you are doing today. Hello group, I had a quiry about Lucero's in the Baptism book I have. I have a file with all male Luceros being baptised between 7-12-1887 and 12-27-1900 Baptisms of Our Lady of Guadelupe of Taos . If anyone wants a copy, let me know. Toni
THANK YOU to both Toni and Arleen for offering to do look ups for our researchers! Karen

Welcome back! Karen
Thank you so much for the compliments! Maitland is on our online 1920 map right between the F and the A in the word Huerfano. Want to share that photo with us? Please? Hugs, Karen
