I just joined this list this morning, and have a question... Over the Thanksgiving meal yesterday, my dad asked if I knew anything about one of my grandfather's relatives that owned or operated the Grand Lake resort in Grand County, CO in the early 1900s. I wasn't aware of it, so now I need to track down this family rumor. Does anyone on this list know anything about the history of the Grand Lake area? I'm probably looking for the owners of the resort, or a history of the resort. SPECK or BEAT(T)Y surnames may be involved, but there could be others.
