Don't know why they are each in different cemeteries. She probably went to live with an adult child in Denver and they buried her there. I will check out the cemetery in Kremmling and see if any other Smiths are their family. Thanks so much. Nan

But I think you misunderstood me, Elizabeth is not listed, at least not by that given name, in the Cemetery. The ladies that did the transcription of the cemetery did a wonderful job, but they did make a few errors or rather omissions. Go to the following address on Rootsweb to view the full listing for the cemetery. There are other Smiths listed in the Cemetery. I can't tell you if they are related or not. http://ftp.rootsweb.com/pub/usgenweb/co/grand/cemeteries/kremmling.txt Let me know if you find any other names that you think fit, I might have access to some further information for you. At least I will check.

YES, Robert Franklin Smith. I have sent for a death certificate, but so far not found one on him. Thanks so much.

Surnames: Smith Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.colorado.counties.grand/196.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Don't know if you got your answer to this question, so thought I would post the following for you. I checked the Kremmling cemetery listing for John Franklin Smith, and did not find anything. Then I checked the 1930 Census and, again, did not find a John F. however I did find a ROBERT F. Smith born in Iowa in 1853. He is listed with wife, Elizabeth, 58, b in Kansas and a dau Mildred C, 16, b in Colorado. In the cemetery listing there is a grave for a Robert with no birthdate, just a year of death, 1934. The cemetery list does not have an Elizabeth listed, so don't know if this is the same Robert as on the census. Hope this doesn't add confusion to your search.

Surnames: HYDEN Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/nY.2ADE/197 Message Board Post: Granville H. Hyden was CSA soldier, captured at Cumberland Gap, VA in Sep 1863. Marched to Louisville KY, then to Camp Douglas prison in Chicago. On Apr 6, 1865 he was "enlisted" into the Union Army & in May 1865 sent "west" with the 5th U.S. Volunteer Infantry Regiment. First question: WHERE was the 5th based? Granville lived at/near Monument, El Paso County in 1870 census (unmarried), & in 1885 census for Grand County his occupation was given as "hunter". In April 1891, two land patents were issued to him (120 & 40 acres). By the 1900 census, Granville & his wife Dorthy were back in his original home territory, Lee County VA (no children). Any & all help greatly appreciated! Second question: Where do I go next?

    2. Mr Black I would like to introduce myself. My name is John Mather 596 Riley Lane , Delta CO 81416 Phone # (970) 874- 1449 E-Mail [email protected] I have recently taken the job as administrator of the Sheephorn Memorial Cemetery. This cemetery is located in Eagle Co. and has people from both Grand and Eagle counties buried here. It was just recently posted on the Eagle Co. site. I have a complete and up to date list of the burials. I am a former Sheephorn resident and nineteen of the thirty-one burials are family members. I would appreciate it if this cemetery could be included on your site. With genealogy being so popular now I know that this would be a great help to people trying to find their roots. The reason I got invoved in this is I am doing my own family genealogy, after finding out PC's were not as intimidating as I thought. I am also collecting all the history and stories of people in the Sheephorn area , as I realize the older people get a lot of it will be! lost. The McPhee's my gggparents were the original settlers in the area, along with my ggfather John (OLD JACK) Mather. Thank you for your time. Sincerley John A. Mather
