Thanks Pauli, I even went to my old computer which I used to ftp files to Bent and all my other sites, and was rejected there, too. Thought I had miss-entered the password, but I must not have, since the it's being rejected from the old computer as well as my year-old one. Both here. I've started to add some new info to Weld. A few days ago, I also started a Facebook group for Weld. It isn't growing as fast as some of my other genealogy based Facebook groups are, but I think it needs time to get out there. One new member though, has started sending me a lot of family records that will keep me busy in my down times (what is that?) between waiting for clients to send me their files. Pauli

Hey, it lets anyone reading the book know that Colorado has a Tombstone Transcription Project. I think this all happened after the Rocky Mt. News did their article on me in the Leadville Cemetery. The author is an attorney, businessman and a reporter for the News or the then News and the people he picks out in his book tend to be people who were involved in the business, not all of them but most of them. He wasn't the reporter that came to Leadville to do that interview. I think it is less than 2 seconds... ;-)) Gail On Sat, May 5, 2012 at 4:18 PM, Ray Blaum <lakecity789@gmail.com> wrote: > Congrats on your two seconds of fame, but primarily on the tombstone > project. > > Ray > Hinsdale > > Sent from my iPad > > On May 5, 2012, at 0:30, Gail Kilgore <gail.kilgore@gmail.com> wrote: > > > I was told on Face Book the other day that my name was mentioned in a > > book. Kiowa County, here. Jackie Wilson Goddard
I was told on Face Book the other day that my name was mentioned in a book. This person said they went to the museum in Denver and in the gift shop bought the book, *Here Lies Colorado, Fascinating Figures in Colorado History*. The book was written by Richard E. Wood and was printed in 2005. That was 7 years ago and I am just finding out that my name was used. On page 14 in the book it says, "Most of the people who made Colorado what it is today are memoriallized by a physical marker, or at least a location, marking their life and passing. Many are still remembered and honored by later genearations of their family or friends. Visit a cemetery and you will usually find visitors tidying up, placing flowers, or perhaps bringing a small folding chair and just sitting in the sun beside their friends or loved ones. Thinking, remembering, smiling, weeping. You may also find people like Gail Meyer Kilgore, a member of the Colorado Tombstone Transcription Project. The goal of these "digital graveyard" projects, which have counterparts across the world................ I just thought I would share this with you. Gail
