I have Denver and Arapahoe Counties. Any materials submitted to me that are not online may possibly been lost when a computer of mine crashed. Other than that, I put those materials online when I can and I never remove materials. Mary Miller had been a lookup volunteer and I have not heard from her in quite some time. I have not tested her email address that is located on the lookup page. Generally, I check those email addresses if someone writes and says they cannot reach those folks. I'm not sure what Mary is talking about, but she has not contacted me in quite some time. Denise ************************************** See what's new at http://www.aol.com
If one was Otero County I could pretty well guess what happened to them. It's just terrible when helpful information like that is lost, or removed. donkelly ----- Original Message ----- From: "Gail Kilgore" <gail.kilgore@gmail.com> To: <COGEN@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, October 31, 2007 9:33 PM Subject: [COGEN] Request >I received an email from a lady who had submitted information and papers >and > she tells me that they have been removed from the county sites. > > "Over the last few years, I have contributed several photographs for the > Colorado GenWeb project, especially a photo of my Mother, her tombstone > and > stories of her, her parents and her grandparents. I received an email from a lady who had submitted information and papers and she tells me that they have been removed from the county sites. "Over the last few years, I have contributed several photographs for the Colorado GenWeb project, especially a photo of my Mother, her tombstone and stories of her, her parents and her grandparents. I have been gone for awhile, but I was searching through the site today and I can find NOTHING on them. What has happened to all my pictures and information that I sent. What can I do about this? " She is saying "Mostly county.....Denver and Arapahoe" Her name is Mary Miller but she didn't give me her mother's name but I can find out. Does any of this sound familar for these two counties? Gail
Well call this an early check in and thanks for helping with the Streator/Mosca question. I have finished updating all 4 of my counties to CSS and other than the genring and discover Colorado ring got rid of all the font tags. I got Rio grand work at least in Mozilla and Firefox but IE is apparently too stupid to understand it. The Rio Grand logo on the blue boarder on the left side should not scroll if you have browser that follows the standards correctly. I had to go back though and changed my text sizing from relative to fixed sizes because IE displayed everything twice as big as Firefox with relative (small medium large) sizes. By now most people should be using a browser that understands CSS 2.0 which strict html 4.01 requires for text control.
