I'm easily confused - "a list of counties that they are not maintaining? I have Yuma, Washington, Kit Carson and would appreciate any input from Lake, ClearCreek about Cort Thomson (Mattie Silk) activities in those counties. http://www.cogenweb.com/yuma/photos/pioneer/wray/MattieSilks.htm M.D. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Gail Kilgore" <gail.kilgore@gmail.com> To: "cogen" <COGEN@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, September 12, 2011 3:00 AM Subject: [COGEN] Site Verifications >I know that we are just finishing up the September Roll Call and I thank >all > of you that do this faithfully each month from from the 1st of the month > to > the 10th of the month. > > Since I am moving over to the RW Mail list we are using it now. Billie, I believe that you are correct in your assessment of how the Rootsweb lists work. Pauli ----- Original Message ----- From: "Billie Walsh" Came through at my end. I believe that all Rootsweb lists are archived. At best, if you want a non-archived list, the best that happens is to make the list archives unavailable. Some of the USGW lists are supposedly not archived, but I have seen results come back from a search that indicate the archives are alive and well just not accessible.

Going to set us back up on Rootsweb. With the google mail list, I am the owner... it is my list and there is no way you can say it isn't my list even if I did like Daryl just did. Mail lists that he set up on google are his... end of story. Google has done some major changes that what we had in the beginning. The Administrator can add and remove people from the mail list. Google you and to send an invite and hope that you remember that you invited then to see if they are on the list. I am typing this to also see if this will be archived. g

Sedgwick and Larimer Still can't get on the new site. I have all of the PW, but for some reason can't get on.
Hi Everyone: I just moved from Billings, MT back to Denver. I had no internet for the last 3 weeks and lots has changed. Gail, can you please send me an invite to the new mail group? Also I intend to move all my sites to the new server, so I need the FTP and password instructions. Thanks, Vikki Gray Moffat, Summit, Garfield, San Miguel and Ouray Counties Gail Kilgore <gail.kilgore@gmail.com> wrote: Connie, a lot of the counties have moved and some of the counties were already on their own server. We are moving all the counties that are up for adoption to the new server and have sent out passwords to those who requested to be on the cogenweb server. It is your choice as to what you do. You can stay with no guarantees, you can move to another server or you can move to our server. At this point the USGenWeb does not have a hosting agreement with TGN/RW and nothing was solved with the banner situation. The banners will be added to each htm or html page on your county as the page is clicked on. The banners are for directing visitors to Ancestry. I believe, last count 23-25 states have moved to their own server and more are moving each day. The counties are following the move. As I have said before, the county is yours and it is your decision as to what you want to do with it. We cannot make you move. Jan You are apparently already on the new list. Your last message went to the new "googlegroups" list and the rest of us received it. Did you? I guess I should start at the top of the email list and go down. No I didn't get any check ins and I have company to cope with. Sons of course who could help me if I knew what to tell them by now. I assume I need a G-email so If I don't have one I won't get the check ins, nor could I check in myself. Help Help By the way one helpfull son over my left shoulder said we have to use a www if we go to .com. does that make any sense to you. It doesn't to me.
