The family still owns the ranch. Hattie's father was Alfred Norris Strickland who married Alice Vile. If this sounds like your people I more info if you want it. interesting fact: Russell Burroughs was the grandson of Franklin William Bruce, the first man to be killed by the Espinosa brothers in 1863.
