Lilly was born in Coal Creek, CO. in 1888, her parents were Thomas and Annie Cobley. Her siblings were Mary Elizabeth Cobley McCormick, Thomas Cobley Jr., Matthew Albert Cobley, Catherine Ann Cobley Cowan, Charles Cobley and Morris Cobley. Charles and Morris died when they were little. Lilly's first husband was Austin Thorpe and they had two children Austin Jr. and Dorothy. She divorced Austin and married J. Hyrum Shawcroft, he died in 1932 and I know she married again but I don't know the man's name. I have photos of them when they visited my grandparents Thomas and Cora Cobley in CA. during the mid 1950s. I believe she married her third husband after 1939 in CO. I've always thought that they lived in Florence, CO. but I may be wrong about that. I know if I can find her third husband's name then I can find out her death date and place of buriel. I've written to the history center in Fremont Co. but got very ! little help from them. I am trying to find my Aunt Cassie's obit in hopes that it may have Lilly's name in it. Cassie was Catherine Cobley Cowan and she died in Nov. of 1979 and is buried in the Greenwood Cem. in Canon City. She lived in Canon City in the 12 mile park area on the family ranch for most of her life. If there is anyone out there that can look up her obit please let me know. I've been stuck behind this brick wall for years now and I would sure like to see the bricks start to crumble.
