Mary Leah TRACY was born at Webster, Colo., on Jan. 19, 1917, the daughter of Gladwin and Margaret (JESSMER) TRACY. She spent her childhood at Kremmling and Leadville, Colo., and attended school at St. Vincent and Leadville. Mary was joined in marriage with Woodrow William CLEMANS at Burlington, Colo. Woodrow preceded Mary in death in 1975 at Montrose. She was previously married to Bernard H. Schultz and he preceded her in death as well. Mary lived in Olathe and Montrose before making her home at Cotopaxi where she remained until the time of her death. She was a housewife, mother and grandmother. Mary was a member of the Westcliffe Catholic Church in Westcliffe, Colo. During her lifetime special interests that brought Mary enjoyment were fishing, hiking, reading and swimming. She will be lovingly remembered for her devotion to her family. Mary's life and presence will be deeply missed by all who loved her. Surviving family members who were proud and privileged to share Mary's life include three sons: Bill Schultz and wife Anita, of Yoder, Colo.; Edward Schultz and wife Lois, of Elbert, Colo.; Arnold Clemans and wife Sharon, of Cotopaxi, Colo.; two daughters: Barbara and husband Bill Creel, of Cotopaxi, Colo.; Patty and husband Mike Serve, of Loma, Colo.; 25 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and 21 great-great-grandchildren. Other family survivors include one brother, Lee Tracy; and one sister, Lucille Ross, both of Denver, Colo. In addition to her parents and both of her husbands, Mary was also preceded in death by nine siblings and one grandchild. A vigil service and rosary will be held Thursday, June 20, at 7 p.m. at the Montrose Valley Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Msgr. Dan Huber Friday, June 21, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Montrose, with Rite of Committal following in the Cedar Cemetery at Montrose.
