Mitton, C(?) E regarding my grandfather, Vernon Ellis Grove. The letter is dated 1-31-1910 and shows Canon City, Colorado as the location. Does anyone know Mr. Mitton and where he might have been employed? He refers to my grandfather as honest, industrious and "a most economical Cook"! I can find no reference to my grandfather living in this area, although his sister, Bessie Inez Grove married Ernest Polhemus in 1905 in Canyon City. Thanks for any hints of where to go from here.
