    1. William H BURGER in 1900 Census

    3. Fellow listers I am writing to you from England. I got your contact details from the Fremont County Website. I have discovered a collateral ancestor of mine who was living in Colorado in 1900. His name is William H Burger, and he was living at Fruitmere (apparently a railroad stop) in Fremont at the time of the 1900 census. Although only 35, he was already widowed, so his wife may have died locally. Are there any local finding aids that might help to identify when he was in Fremont? For instance, is there any state census around 1890 or 1895? Are there any marriage indexes that could identify whether he actually married in Colorado? What about local cemetery indexes? As far as I can see, he headed back East again, and by 1910 was living in Virginia. Any help you can provide would be most gratefully received. Thank you in anticipation Philip Candy London *** This e-mail and any attachments are confidential and are intended only for the addressee(s).
