Good Folks - I am looking for information on a great uncle, Sherman William (Bill) Seelinger. He was born 09 Feb 1865 in Ripley County (?) Indiana and died in Salida, Fremont Co, Colorado. He married Addie Craig. And that is all I know. I would like any/all additional information on both Sherman Seelinger and Addie Craig, such as dob for Addie, dod for both, date of marriage and where married. The funeral services of the late Thomas John,Sr. were held from the home of his daughter Mrs. F.A. Kober, Jr., yesterday afternoon and they were attended by a large gathering of old friends of the family from Florence, Canon City and the coal camps. Rev. Burchfield of the First Presbyerian church was in charge and the service was very impressive. Three selections were rendered by a choir composed of friends of the deceased, one of which was sung in the Welsh language. The floral offerings were profuse and covered the casket. The pall bearers consisted of the four surviving sons of Mr. John and nephews as follows: Edward John, Lewis John, Joseph John and Thos. John, sons; Thomas John and Clarence John, nephews. The friends who followed the remains to Highland cemeter where interment was made, were conveyed in automobiles.

Just a fews notes and I must go to work. The Belvedare is still there minus the fruit trees. Very poplar place to eat for locals and non locals. We have had such a drought until last week when we got almost 12 inches of rain in 6 days in Canon City and Fremont county. Roads were washed away and thought I would need an ark to get home. But very thing is back to normal. Canon City is growing like a weed. Home Depot just opened, Chile's opened, 4 news threaters, and coffe shop and I-Hop just to name a few. They are builing a new subdivision east of town toward Phamton Canyon area. Supposed to be around 2 to 3 hundred news homes and townhomes. I wish this was not going to be, but they say it is progress. There is also a new part to the hospital, new Wal-greens, and of course Wal-Mart. I am sure you know that the Federal Prison has been built in the last 10 years east south east of Florance. Well anyway, let me ! know whats's going on in your life and may God bless you. doug
