Usually people who are listed in the CS city directories as having died in the previous year appear in the Colorado Springs Death Register. It's on microfilm in Special Collections at the public library. I was just at the library and won't be back for a few days. Maybe someone else would be willing to look it up for you. People in the death register either died in Colorado Springs and were shipped elsewhere for burial or were buried in Evergreen Cemetery. They could have died elsewhere and were shipped in for burial in Evergreen, the large city-owned cemetery. I don't see him in the index to El Paso County cemeteries. The newspaper index should be checked too for a death notice or obituary. Does this mean that he died in Colorado Springs. History is that he died in a fatal accident. Since his wife was a railroad agent working in Royerton Indiana, I am wondering if Reason also was working for the railroad ,and met with some kind of railroad accident. Was there any kind of railroad work taking place in 1904 in Colorado Springs. Is there anyone who could check the newspapers for this date to see if there is mention of an accident and death . Thanks for any help. Hi Linda I know he is buried in Bainbridge, Indiana. So if he died in Colorado, then he was shipped back to Indiana. Hope there is someone out there than will have time to check this out further for me. Its one step closer to finding what happened to him. Have been looking for a long time now. Thanks to you or anyone who can help me.
