Greetings listers: Searching for others with a tie to this prolific Davis family -- Dr. Isaac Davis born February 19, 1836 Bath, England died August 12, 1891 Manitou Springs, Colo. son of Isaac Davis and Hannah Boulter Davis married Sarah Pease born July 29, 1938 Twerton, England died March 12, 1908 Manitou Springs, Colo. Isaac and Sarah married in London December 22, 1856 Isaac served in the Crimean War and then after moving his family to Brooklyn, New York he served in the Union Army during the U.S. Civil War. After the war he took a course in medicine at the Eclectic College of Medicine in Pennsylvania. >From Brooklyn, he moved the family to the Colorado Territory in 1872. In Manitou Springs, he served as Postmaster, Justice of the Peace, Mayor, Trustee on the town council, and for six years served as the El Paso County Coroner. He owned and ran the Davis Drugstore for many years and was the local mortician as well as owning the town cemetery. Fifteen (yes, 15!) children were born to Isaac and Sarah Davis: 1.
