I've "rescued" an old photograph of Albert P. COX which was taken at the G. W. Stiffler & Co. Studio in Longmont, Colorado. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1880's or 1890's and notes that Albert is 25 years old at the time. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Albert and his family: Albert P. COX was b. Nov 1872 in Colorado to parents John M. COX (b. 1843 in MO) and Susannah ? (b. 1843 in OH). Albert married Lula COX (b. 13 Feb 1872 in CO) in about 1896 and together they had a daughter, Irene A. COX born about 1908 in CO. Albert died in 1941 and is buried in the Palisade Cemetery in Palisade, CO. Census records provide the following information: 1880 census of El Paso Co. CO: John M. COX, age 39, married 14 years, born CO, parents born MO, a Farmer Lula B. COX, wife, age 38, married 14 years, 1 child/1 living, born CO, parents born GA Irene A. COX, dau, age 2, born CO 1920 census of Mesa Co. CO: Albert P. COX, age 48, born CO, parents born MO/OH, a Farmer (listed as single) John M. COX, father, age 76, born MO, parents born KY/OH Susanah COX, mother, age 76, born OH, parents born VT/PA I am hoping to locate someone from this COX Family so that the photograph can be returned to its rightful place, with family.
