    1. Re: [COELPASO] Norwegian need help
    2. Harald in Norway, I just checked the Marriages for Colorado and Carl L. Coupon and Anna Harvey were married 06 January 1905 in Teller County, Colorado. If you don't have this record it can be gotten from the County Clerk in Cripple Creek. I have an E-mail into the library to see if they can find a death notice or obit for you. Will forward it when I hear from them. Good luck with your search. Roberta Summers from Teller County, Colorado

    1. [COELPASO] WHEATON - CORRICK Family Photograph
    2. Shelley Cardiel
    3. I've "rescued" an old photograph identified as that of "Theodore's wife and her daughter Nellie WHEATON" which was taken at the C. L. Gillingham Studio in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1880's or 1890's with the Mother likely in her 40's or 50's and the daughter in her teens or 20's. On the back of the photograph is the name Miss Mattie CORRICK, leading me to believe that they may be connected to the CORRICK Family as well. Based on limited research I was able to make the connection between the families and identify Nellie's Mother as Susan CORRICK in census records as follows: 1900 census of Colorado Springs, CO: Theodore CORRICK, age 45, born Apr 1855, married, a Teamster Susan CORRICK, wife, age 54, born Aug 1846, married, 2 children/2 living +5 lodgers 1900 census of Denver, CO: John H. BURROUGHS, age 35, born Aug 1864, married 5 years, born NJ, parents born NJ, a Railroad Ticket Agent Nellie W. BURROUGHS, wife, age 27, born Sept 1872, married 5 years, 1 child/1 living, born IA, parents born Canada/IL Marion BURROUGHS, dau, age 4, born Apr 1896, born CO 1910 census of Routt Co., CO: John H. BURROUGHS, age 46, married 15 years, born NJ, parents born NJ, a Bank Cashier Nellie M. BURROUGHS, wife, age 37, married 15 years, 2 children/2 living, born IA, parents born Canada/IL Marion BURROUGHS, dau, age 14, born CO John R. BURROUGHS, son, age 8, born CO Susan M. CORRICK, Mother-in-law, age 64, 2nd marriage 24 years, 2 children/2 living, born IL, parents born NY I am hoping to locate someone from this family so that the photograph can be returned to its rightful place, with family. If you are a member of this family, or you know someone who might be, please contact me. Thanks, Shelley

    3. Roberta, You may wish to look at this site. And yes, it does direct you to county sites for some records. Also the Denver Library's phone number is 1-720-865-1821 This is directly to the Genealogy Dept. on the fifth floor. They can give you the information on obtaining the disc mentioned by others. ALSO, I found that they are very generous in answering one or two questions from their disc on hand (if they are not real busy). Also they told me that the information on the site the state took down, was now in the hands of a private company (that specializes in charging a fee for lookups). HENRY in Colorful Colorado [email protected] ----- Original Message ----- Hi linda et al, see if you can bring up the Colorado Genealogical Society, web site, or write to the society at P O Box 9218, Denver CO 80209-0218. They have been offering a CD with marriages from the early 1800 to about 1937 or so and has a large amount of info. I think I originally found this on the Coilordo Historical Archives or some such web site. Good hunting. Ruby Rempe > ----- Original Message ----- They're not online anymore. 2. The state no longer has their website up.? It was taken down for concerns over privacy.? If you check the individual county websites, you may still be able to access the information.? I know that El Paso County still lists them on their website (www.elpasoco.com; click on the Public Records Search link on the left side of the screen). 3. Roberta, Thank you so much! I didn't know her "real" name was Marjorie, everyone just called her Christine, but I can tell by the survivors that this is the correct person. It is my understanding that there will not be an obit, just the death notice. I hate to trouble you, but would you mind scanning the death notice? Her husband's sister would like a copy and doesn't want to trouble him for it right now while he's grieving. That is why I was trying to help her get it.
