Mr. Palmer died Saturday at a Colorado Springs hospital after a llengthy illness. He was 80. Mr. Palmer was born Jan. 28, 1902, in Cottonwood Falls, Kan., and had been a resident of Colorado Springs since 1970. He was a road construction supervisor. Mr. Palmer was a member of the Circle Drive Baptist Church. He was a member of the Coconut Grove Masonic Lodge 258 of Miami, Southern Colorado Consistory and Al Kaly Shrine Temple of Pueblo. Mr. Palmer had been an engineer for Troup Brothers in Miami for 37 years. He served on the Hialeah, Fla., police force before retiring. He was preceded in death by his wife Alma Palmer in 1969.
