Shelley, I was surprised to see that you live in Olathe. I have been searching for information on John W. Coe, b. May 8, 1840, at Gilead Station, OH, d. Feb. 8, 1902, Kansas City, MO, son of Abraham and Margaret (Nichols) Coe of Loudoun County, VA, and Morrow County, OH. He m. March 29, 1886, in Delaware County, OH, Elmora Breyfogle Aug. 1855 in OH, d. 1914 in Johnson County, KS. Both he and his wife are buried at Lenexa Cemetery in Johnson County. They owned a 160-acre farm between Nelaro and Lenexa, near Olathe. They had children (b. in Johnson County, KS): 1. child, d. young. 2. Walter N., d. Aug. 1, 1877. Buried at Lenexa Cemetery. 3. Edith, b. April 1879. 4. Nora E., b. Oct. 1880, schoolteacher. 5. Pearl M., July 1882, bank clerk. 6. Freda H., b. 1887. 7. John W., b. July 1887, d. 1959, railroad conductor. Buried at Lenexa Cemetery. I'm extermely anxious to learn more about this family. They moved to Olathe immediately after marriage, in 1886 or 1887. Would it be possible to call upon your kindness? I'm wondering what records might be there at the courthouse in Olathe. I'm assuming there should be marriage, and possibly birth and death records of this family. If you have some time one day, would it be too much trouble to ask you to check public records at the courthouse to see what might be found?
