Carl, Was able to go to the Archives today. Johnson County doesn't keep their records at the courthouse. It makes looking for the records so much easier. I had copied some marriage records, civil records, criminal records, and a will record. I was only able to scratch the surface of what is available there. One specific record that I think you will be particularly interested in is the marriage record of John W. COE and Freda GROS. The marriage license was actually applied for by John's sister Pearl. I thought that was kinda strange. The record says that John W. COE was of Ohio and that Freda was from Kansas City, I believe. I don't have the record right in front of me. I have to go back and pick them up because they are making copies. I just couldn't wait to tell ya! <G> I thought that they would be a married couple and not brother and sister. Thursday, I hope to go and actually view and copy the cemetery records that you were interested in, in the Lenexa Cemetery. I will send all these copies tonight when I go to work. Before I send them I'll send you some more e-mail to kind of let you know what to expect. It was fun! Shelley
