Letting everyone know that I enjoy reading and learning more about the COEs. I never knew that I had a COE lineage until a relative sent me some information that was included in a family bible. Seems the last COE in my lineage is my g g grandmother Maria Fontana COE, b. 1848, in Sandusky, Ohio. I don't know when she died. (She was the d/o Samuel D. COE, b. Jun 1808, New Paltz, Ulster, NY, d. abt 1889, place unknown. Samuel D. COE m. Lydia HAMLIN, no other marriage or info abt. Lydia) Maria F. COE m. my g g grandfather John Asa SPALDING (b. 1836, Alden, Erie, NY, d. 1891, Galesburg, Knox, IL).I don't have information about their marriagge, but do know they had atlesat a daughter, Jennie M. SPALDING) b. 1874, either Galesburg, Knox, IL or Clinton County, MO) >From some of the limited info that I have and thru various online sights I was able to trace the line back to at least John COE, (b. 1625,Eng, d. 1693, Stratford, Fairfield, CT)) Who was one of Robert COE's (b. 1596, England, d. 1659) Still don't have information if it's Mary who is John's mother. Well even though my COEs are a bit removed, I just wanted to let you all know I'm interested in hearing about other COEs as well.
