Have found an actual city directory entry! 1928 City Directory for Kansas City, Missouri page 576 Coe, Washington -- Contr. 3806 E. 14th St. Also did you need marriage info on the Coes, I have found the following Coe, Wash and Luce, Hattie, 30 Apr 1883 -- groom and bride of Leavenworth County, Kansas, they were married at Platte City Presider #287 Hyder, James A. Minister of M. E. Church -- South Platte City, 82. page D160-1 The book was Platte County Marriages, in the front of the book it stated you could get a copy of the marriage license from County Courthouse, it stated $2 fee, but that was in 1987. On the strength of this I started looking in Leavenworth KS census for 1880, found her family but not his.
