    2. In a message dated 98-10-04 14:12:26 EDT, you write: << Subj: [COE-L] Joseph Leander Coe Date: 98-10-04 14:12:26 EDT From: Ddjcmckee@aol.com Reply-to: COE-L@rootsweb.com To: COE-L@rootsweb.com My husbands great grandfather was Joseph Leander COE, b 7 Jan 1838 in MO. He married Mary Ann BECKET and Rose HOOVER. His parents were Joseph Gibbens COE and Sarah WINANS of PA and IA. Then Joseph Gibbens parents are Joseph COE and Mary GIBBENS born in NJ. Then the parents are Elder Joseph COE and Abigail MOONE. I have some info on these people but not very many things about there lives. Like what occupations and such. Some of them I only know of their birth and death dates and nothing else. Does anybody connect with any of these COEs and can anybody furnish any more information? Thank You Debby McKee >> Hi Debbie, Please excuse the previous e-mail. (Bad brain day). I have a Ruth Coe who married John Carpenter 1735 Jamaica, LI, according to the AB Carpenter book which I cannot substantiate. I know there was a Ruth Coe in Morris Co. Supposedly my Ruth Coe married a Mr. Thurston after the death of John. My ancestor is their son, Moses Carpenter, (of Orange Co., N Y) who married Elizabeth Runyon, dau of Richard and Jane (VanCourt) Runyon ab. 1774. I saw a Morris Co. list the other day on the net that had both Joseph and Joseph Jr. listed in Morris Co. question #1. Do any of the above sound familiar to you? #2. Could that be Abigail Moore in stead of Moone? My Carpenters/Wisners were related to the Moores later. Another reason your data caught my eye is because I believe the Winans were also related to the Wisners or Carpenters in Orange Co. NY. Thank you, Phoebe
