I am the only child of Winifred Hazel Emmons Lane, "Winnie" was Gene's younger sister who lives one house south of Gene. There were 15 children, 12 lived, and six are still living. Two of my mother's brothers married two Sharp sisters, and her eldest sister married the eldest Sharp brother. 11 of my 51 first cousins are of the Sharp/Emmons line. My mother's baby sister married a Hunt and five of my 51 first cousins are of this line. My mother was the seventh child of Robert Harvey "Harve" Emmons son of James M. and Martha Emiline Boles Emmons married in Lincoln Cty., Kansas. We are a big family and most of us live in Paonia.
