Survivors include two sons: Steve SCHMALZ and wife Marilyn; Ned SCHMALZ and wife Terri, all of Delta, Colo.; two daughters: Shirley and husband Ed APPELHANZ, of Montrose, Colo.; Kathy and husband Andy GRAY, of Delta, Colo.; 15 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Charlie SCHMALZ and wife Ann, of Fort Collins, Colo.; and one sister, Ann SCHEETZ, of Fort Collins, Colo. Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 12, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Taylor Funeral Service Chapel in Delta. A Rosary will be recited Wednesday, Feb. 12, at 7 p.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Delta. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, Feb. 13, at 10 a.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church. Rite of Committal will follow in the Delta City Cemetery at Delta. Arrangements are being handled under the direction of Taylor Funeral Service & Crematory.
