The Daily Sentinel Newspaper, Wednesday,Nov.10,1999. Harold Francis Stevens July 23,1920-November 8,1999 Harold Francis Stevens, known as Short by his siblings, was born in Woodward Co.,Okla., near the town of Vici. He attended Vici schools and graduated from Vici High School. On April 19,1940 he married Wanna Mae Miller in Woodward,Okla. In 1941 they moved to the Orange County California area. In 1944 he joined the Army and served during World War II. Harold and Wanna Mae and their six children moved to Delta, in 1957, where he worked for the City of Delta Water Dept. He later went to work for a construction firm and they relocated many times. In 1977 he retired and moved to Glade Park,Colo. Then in 1988 they moved to Grand Junction. Then in 1995 they moved to Yuma,Ariz. He loved to read Louis L'Amour western books and work crossword puzzles. His occupations were policeman, truck driver, and construction worker. Harold was diagnosed with cancer and moved back to Grand Junction,Colo, to be near his children. His pain and suffering ended at St.Mary's Hospital, early Monday morning, November 8,1999 with his wife and six children at his bedside. Harold is survived by his wife, Wanna Mae of Grand Junction; his children,Larry and Sharon Stevens of Grand Junction, Sherry and Lawrence Hiler of Delta, Kay and Dennis Suckow of Delta, Janet and Jerry Boyd of Austin, Diana and Richard Davis of Grand Junction, and Anita and George Radakovich of Grand Junction. Also surviving is his grandchildren, Melinda Hiler of Key West,Fla., Harp Suckow of Delta, Tammie Knob of Delta, Kenneth Hiler of Henderson,Nev., Kathy Seleske of Iowa City,Iowa, Lori Reiher of Delta, Stacy Scroggs of Craig, Darren Boyd of Austin, Shelley McCullough of Grand Junction, Brandi McCullough of Grand Junction, and Brian Davis of Grand Junction; and 14 great-grandchildren. Also to mourn his loss is his sisters, Alberta Cullison of Oregon, Thelma Laiola and Evelyn Stevens of California, Leona Lingenfelter of Texas; and his brothers, Robert and Ronald Stevens of Oklahoma and John Stevens of Washington. Plus many nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceding him in death were his parents, Anna and Albert Stevens; his brothers, Clayton, Wiley, Pat and Jim Stevens; his sisters, Martha Helmick and Velma Stevens. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, at 2 p.m., in the Callahan-Edfast Mortuary with Reverend Eddie Scroggins officiating. Burial will be in Oddfellows Cemetery.

SMALL and Sara who were about 85 years old in 1910 and living on Main Street with their unmarried dau., Ollive SMALL. Mary Ann b. 1851 IN m. John Henry MULLENIX b. 1843 IN who died prior to 1910. Besides Anna they had one son, Joseph Vard MULLENIX b 1888 SD.
