My g grandfather was Thomas Powers who lived in Paonia and is buried in Ceder Hill Cemetery, Paonia, CO. If these names ring a bell for you, I have the Fisks back to the 1500's. I am looking for Thomas Powers parents, children and first wife.

My grandmother came to Paonia with a family from Raritan NJ between 1910 and 1913. I presume she was a maid and perhaps they moved due to illness or to find fortune. Would there be any records or newspaper articles they mention newcomers? Any hints or ideas would be welcome. Thanks, MB

Philetus Leroy FISK married Elizabeth POWERS in Michigan and moved to Paonia, Colorado with their nine children: Martha Ann, Charles Herbert, Bertha Elizabeth, Leroy, Caroline, Loren, Gaylord, Claude Ernest and Philetus Jay. Father (d.1915), mother(d.1936), and one son (Philetus Jay)(d.1957) are buried in the Cedar Grove Cemetery in Paonia. One of the daughters, Caroline FISK married John Nelson LUCAS (Colorado) and lived in Loveland, Colorado. I am looking for any information or connections to any descendants still living in Delta County to share family information with.

I currently know very little about him. He was born 12-4-1844 in Dearborn Co., Indiana to Noah and Elizabeth Lambert. He may have had a wife named Elmira. I have been told that he had two children, I have also been told that he had none. I do know from a brothers' obituary that he had traveled to Daleville, Indiana for the funeral from Cedar Edge, Delta County, Colorado in June of 1907. I am told he died in June of 1917 either in Colorado or possibly in Arizona. Any help is very much appreciated and I will share info. on his ancestors with anyone interested. THANK YOU!
