He was born Oct. 4, 1910, to Anna Marie Rose (Salmonson) and Charles Oscar Swanson in Chicago, ILL.On Dec. 4, 1935, he married Marie Rose Schroeder in Chicago.He is survived by one son and two daughters.

Robert Lee Perkins died of natural causes July 19, 2001, at his home in Eckert. He was 75. He was born on Sept. 5, 1925, in Joplin, Mo.,to Macy and Iva (Rule) Perkins. He married Nona Stillwagon on March 22, 1947, in Aztec, N.M. He served as a seaman first class in the U.S. Navy from January 1942 to April 1946. He was stationed at the U.S. submarine base at Pearl Harbor.. He is survived by his wife, a son and a daughter.
Joe A. Davis, 88, of Eckert died tuesday, July 10, 2001 at Horizon Care Center in Eckert. He was born March 8, 1913, in Madrid, N.M., to Charles and Pearl (Aragon) Davis. He married Mary Chapman on May 12, 1935, in Gallup, N.M. He was a pipefitter. He is survived by his wife and a daughter.

He was born on May 17, 1915, to George Albert and Florence Elizabth Ames in the township of Welch, Minn.,one of eight children. He married Ada Marie Wilde in Shelley, Idaho, in 1936. Mr. Ames served for a short time in the U.S. Army,ultimately dicharging due to health issues. He is survived by three children.

Carpio R. Gutierrez of Delta died of natural causes July 6, 2001, at St. Mary's Hospital in Grand Junction. He was 57. He was born on June 16, 1944, in Alamosa, to Horacio and Eva (Valdez) Gutierrez. He married Maria S. Ladino in Center on aug. 30, 1967, she survives. He is survived by six daughters.
Edna Opal Dalton, 84, of Delta died Saturday, July 7, 2001, at Delta County Memorial Hospital in Delta. She was born March 7, 1917, in Carter, Okla., to clarence and Demmie (Brown) Miller. She married Harry Orval Dalton on Sept. 25, 1933 in Rocky Ford. She is survived by two sons and a daughter.

Lorene Campen died in Petaluma, Calif., on June 17,2001. She was born on Oct. 30,1909, in Alexandria, Mo., to William and Anna Leake. On March 18,1944, she married Fred Campen in Keokuk, Iowa, and moved to Colorado. In 1955 she went to work for the Veterans Hospital and the Air Force base in Aurora.In 1970, the Campens retired to Cedaredge. Mrs. Campen is survived by her husband and a daughter.
Faires Barnett of Sheridan, Wyo., died Thursday, June 21, 2001, of heart surgery complications. He was 81.
