Roderick N. Stewart died Sunday, July 29, 2001, at Delta County Memorial Hospital. He was 88. He was born Jan 7, 1913, in a house at 348 Grand Avenue in Delta and remained a lifelong resident of Delta. He was the only child of Judge Clyde H. and Pearl (Hibbs) Stewart. On June 24, 1941, he married Margaret E. banks at her parents home in Delta. In 1943 he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He served in Newfoundland and Ft. Worden, Wash. He is survived by his wife, six daughters and one son..
Anniebelle Gamble, 78, of Delta died Friday, July 27, 2001, at St. Mary's Hospital and Medical Center in Grand Junction. She was born Feb. 1, 1923, in Erick, Oklahoma, to John and Callie (Williams) Thomas. She married Allan Gamble on June 7, 1941, in Texas. She is survived by her husband and two children.
Donald O. Cowan, 73, died thursday, July 12, 2001, in Wrangell, Alaska. He formerly lived in Cedaredge. He was born Feb. 14, 1928. He is survived by eight children.
Graveside services for Dannie Roland Reigles will be held Friday, Aug. 3, at the Cortez Cemetery at 2 p.m. Mr. Reigles died Wednesday, July 25, at his home. He was 68. He was born to Marion O. and Mary Olivia (Clark) Reigles on June 15, 1933, in Hotchkiss. An Outdoorsman at heart, Mr. Reigles enjoyed fishing and hunting. He is survived by two sons and one daughter.
Letha Brooks Walker, 97, of Cedaredge died July 26,2001, at Horizons Care Center. She was married to Robert Walker. Survivors include her daughter Janice Walker and five grandchildren.
Memorial services for Robert Lee Perkins will be held Friday, aug. 3, at 3 p.m., at the Delta Elks Lodge. Mr.Perkins died at his home in Eckert on July 19, 2001. He was 75. He is survived by his wife, one son and one daughter.
Ilene Z. Austin, 75, of Greeley died Sunday, Jult 29,2001, at the Hospice of Northern Colorado Inpatient Unit. Mrs.Austin was born in Niles, Oklahoma, on July 26, 1926, to Grace A. (Payne) and Robert W. Grant. On Oct. 17, 1944, she married Abraham Wayne Austin in Delta. She is survived by a son and three daughters.
Dorothy Johnson Honnen of Grand Junction died June 2, 2001, at the age of 96. she was born in Delta on Jan, 15, 1905, to Ethel (Hornsby) and William Ruel Johnson. She married Cloyce Hamilton Aug. 16, 1939 . He was killed in a car accident in 1945, they had two daughters. Later she married Hugh Honnen in 1948. Mrs. Honnen is survived by her daughter and her husband Bob.
Henry R. Myers, 83, died July 28, 2001, at his daughter's home near Cedaredge following a battle with cancer. He was born May 3, 1918, six miles north of Kremmling, the youngest son of John Joseph and Fannie (Bell) Myers. He served in the U.S. Army from Dec. 5, 1941, to Oct 18, 1945, as a staff sergeant in the Pacific and European theaters. Mr. Myers married Velma Mae Wecker of Last Chance on Aug. 6, 1947, in Laramie ,Wyo. They divorced. He later married June E. Vriezema in Delta. He is survived by one son and one daughter.

She was born Nov 9, 1918, in Kremmling, to George and Estella (Robins) Bell. she married Earl Carter Kaiser on Dec. 27, 1937, in Colorado Springs. She is survived by her husband, two sons, and a daughter.

Martha A. Baker of Fruita died Monday, July 23,2001, at Larchwood Inns, Grand Junction. She was 87. She was born July 24, 1913, to Frederick W. and Zilpha May (Baker) Lampshire in Grand Junction. Survivors include a son and three daughters and her husband.
Alvin A."Mike" Rowley Jr. of Paonia died of natural causes July 26,2001, at his home. He was 57. He was born in Price Utah on Dec 31, 1943, the son of Alvin Arthur and Pauline (Knudsen) Rowley. He spent his childhood and attended high school in Dragerton , Utah. He married Martie Rae Babcock in Hiawatha, Utah, on April 10, 1964. She survives. He earned the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal and the Navy Unit Commendation while serving with the U.S. Navy between April 24,1961, and Dec 7, 1964. He is survived by two daughters and several brothers and sisters and five grandchildren.

Maye E. Schadler of Hotchkiss died of natural causes July 23, 2001, at Paonia Care & Rehabilitation Center. She was 95. She was born on Aug. 5, 1905, in Beaver County, Oklahoma, to Jacob L. and Mary (McGown) Still. She married Joseph F. Schadler in 1941 in Reno, Nev. She is survived by a son and a daughter.
Joe Bentura Moralez of Delta died of natural causes July 22, 2001, at Delta Care Center. He was 96.He was born on July 14, 1905 in Manillas, Mexico, to Rosalio and Epifania (Martinez) Moralez. He married Jessie Navarette on June 4, 1937, in Delta. He is survived by his wife and six sons and four daughters.
