From what little we know of her (from undated old family notes) we know she married a Joseph Cory Baker. Thanks to a Rootsweb posting (this site), I was able to acquire a photo of a family at the dining table. The back of the photo reads “Wedding Breakfast, J Corry & Anna S. Baker, Cicero, IND, 5-10-1900”. Corry may have been the son of Joseph and Mary Baker. We believe that "Corry" was later in the newspaper business in Pueblo, Colorado. Children were Stanley and Norman. Stanley was an engineer in the Oklahoma oil fields and was later (about 1953) was living in Little Rock. Norman was a lawyer in Denver and later Washington.

I just subscribed to CODELTA and thought I'd introduce myself. My maternal grandfather, Luther Gelwicks, was one of Delta County's earliest settlers, as was my maternal great grandfather, Frank Ross (or possibly Roos); both arrived and settled in Hotchkiss in the 1870s. Luther is buried in Riverview Cemetery outside Hotchkiss. I am trying to find out just when Frank Ross died so that I can get a death certificate. He was still alive ca. 1920, when he would have been 80 years old. I requested a death certificate from the State of Colorado, giving all the information I had, including Delta County as the probable place of death, and received a b/c for a Frank Ross who died in Denver, different wife's name, different age, etc. If I lived in the area, I'd go to the museum in Delta and go through the local newspapers methodically, but I live in Florida, and so far as I know, none of the local papers has been microfilmed. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks for reading! Regards, Judy Hall
