I was looking for the cause of death of Olive (Burritt) Pratt, John Sylvester Pratt's wife. I have that information. She sustained injuries in a buggy accident in 1906 which she could not recover from. The article from a SD newspaper stated her brothers were with her but not seriously hurt. She is buried with her husband & 2 daughters in the Spearfish Cemetery. The 2 daughters also died fairly young - next project to find out what happened to them (unless you have that information already & are willing to share).<grin> Priscilla

Pratt. I have her obit or at least part of it. She died from injuries sustained in a buggy accident. The article stated her brothers were not seriously injured. I am the only child of Winifred Hazel Emmons Lane, "Winnie" was Gene's younger sister who lives one house south of Gene. There were 15 children, 12 lived, and six are still living. Two of my mother's brothers married two Sharp sisters, and her eldest sister married the eldest Sharp brother. 11 of my 51 first cousins are of the Sharp/Emmons line. My mother's baby sister married a Hunt and five of my 51 first cousins are of this line. My mother was the seventh child of Robert Harvey "Harve" Emmons son of James M. and Martha Emiline Boles Emmons married in Lincoln Cty., Kansas. We are a big family and most of us live in Paonia.
