I remember visiting relatives there as a child. My mother said there was a fire at the church and all the records of the family were destroyed going back. It may be a factor in finding past records. My Mothers name was Casilda (Casey) A. (Madrid) Corless I don't have current contact with most of my Mom's side of the family these days that would remember. Most of the Aunts and Uncles are now dead. I do have four living Aunts and Uncles that I don't have current contact with My other Aunts and Uncles that grew up in San Luis were, Aurelia, Ben, Ruben, Eva and Julian. Also remember some Madrid Cousins living in California and Wyoming that would have been related to my Grandfather as I was told they were second cousins.
