I have traced one branch back to Victorio Cordova and Carolina Subia. They are listed on the 1880 Census with two adopted "Luhan" children, Guadaloup and Rafina. They eventually had seven children of their own, one named Bitervo(my wife's grandfather). Victorio is 20 in 1880. He states his birthplace as New Mexico. I can find no trace of him prior to 1880. I saw the 1860 census. There is an entry for Jose Valentin Cordova with a one year old son named Juan Bt? Cordova. I see in your family tree that you show the middle name as Bautista. Is it possible that the entry is Bto, an abbreviation for Bitervo? My thought is that with all the Juans around Victorio decided to use his middle name as his first. Regards. Dave Nelson, Folsom, CA.
