    3. I have been seeking information on McClures in Costilla and Conejos Counties for about 7 months. My great grandfather, Abraham Lincoln McClure and his wife, Mamie Olive Shinn McClure were in Fort Garland at the 1910 and 1920 censuses. A.L. was a general manager of a farm--a sod farm? Judging by the names on census records, this area was predominantly Hispanic. I am curious to know who A.L. worked for, if he spoke Spanish, where they worshipped (they weren't Catholic), and if Mamie voted in the first election after suffrage. I don't yet have any death/burial info on either of these. Their first grandchild, Mamie Evelyn McClure, died as an infant and is buried in Sanford Cemetery. (I have photo of her.) I suspect they are buried there as well since there are two unmarked McClure graves. Sure wish I could prove that and mark their graves. Other relatives were sprinkled around the county as well: A.L.'s nephew, Benjamin Harrison McClure, was in Monte Vista; Mamie's brother Stacy V. shinn was killed in an industrial accident in 1912 in Monte Vista. (I have copy of news article.) I would appreciate any suggestions as to where to look for info or shared knowledge about the McClures in Colorado. Thanks. Cheryl
