He was a waiter for the Air Force Academy. He served in the Army during from 1942 to 1945, attaining the rank of technical sergeant. Mr. Martinez was born Jan. 12, 1919, in San Acacio to Antonio and Cresencia (Aguello) Martinez, who are deceased. He was married Nov. 5, 1945, to Margaret A. Trujillo, who is deceased. He is survived by a son, Louie; a daughter, Terri Gemmill; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Jesse. A private graveside service will be held at a later date at Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 S. Hancocn Ave. Inurnment will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
