Hello, I'm looking for anyone that could provide me information on Charles B. Newton b. abt. 1822-1824 Pennsylvania, died 1905 at the home of his son, Carlos Newton, in Alamosa. I am trying to find some information on who his parents were. Charles served in the Mexican American War and mustered out in Albuquerque in 1849. He married Maria delos Reyes Cortez in 1852 in Taos and later settled in Costilla County, Co. His marriage record provided no information on his parents nor did his military records. I was wondering if there was someone that may be in the Costilla or Alamosa county area that could look to see if there was a will filed there for him at his death.
